FAQ
top questions
Unplugs aren't just another earplug—they are the culmination of over +70 years of combined audiology expertise.
Created by the same minds behind the world's most popular hearing aid technology, our patent-protected design represents a fundamental shift in how we approach hearing protection.
What exactly are Unplugs?
Unplugs are a new type of earplug that lets you instantly "click" between 20dB of sound reduction and crystal clear conversation without removal. No electronics, no batteries, no apps, just pure sound control.
How do they work?
The magic is in the click! When life gets loud, click into "plugged mode," and a precision-engineered internal chamber seals to reduce sound by 20dB while maintaining sound quality. When you're ready for conversation, click into "unplugged mode," and tiny air vents open to allow crystal-clear conversations.
Why choose Unplugs?
Traditional earplugs offer only one experience - block everything or hear everything. Unplugs give you two distinct sound worlds with a simple click. No more removing protection for conversations, no more missing important moments, no more choosing between your ears and your social life.
How much sound reduction do Unplugs have?
In plugged mode, Unplugs offer 20dB of noise reduction. The perfect amount for concerts, motor sports, loud workplaces, and urban environments. In unplugged mode, they offer minimal reduction while optimizing for speech frequencies, so you can have clear conversations while taking the edge off background noise.
How long will Unplugs last?
Unplugs are built to last for years with proper care. The mechanical click system has been engineered to maintain performance for thousands of cycles. With regular cleaning and proper storage in the included case, your Unplugs should provide reliable protection for the long haul.
